Construction

With all flavours, The CakeWay cakes usually consists of cake frosted with butter-cream icing and is covered with fondant icing, along with other edible and non-edible decorations. (Fondant icing is a blend of corn syrup and sugar which can be kneaded, rolled, or shaped and is used to create the outer design of a cake sculpture.)

To support the construction, some cakes may contain one or more of the following materials: wooden or plastic dowels, cardboard separators, and/or dry pasta pieces. These are to be removed before serving or eating the cake, as they are inedible. You will always be advised where these have been used.
